So, the three day weekend is over and I never did look at the taxes. The papers and files were there. The calculator was there. My desire to do actual calculations was not there.
I'm not saying I was lazy this weekend. There was the matter of the room addition that I am in the process of removing. What once was an attached greenhouse morphed over the years to an enclosed play room for the kids. Which then morphed into the junk room. Do you have a junk drawer in your home? Filled with worthless crap and doing nothing but taking up valuable space? I have one of those that is 30'x18'.
Or I did.
It took one day to remove the junk and just a few hours to strip away the sheetrock. A friend is about to build a garage, so in exchange for helping me tear down the framing, he is getting the lumber. I will be left with a very large, very flat, very unjunked back porch. Remember, I will be spending more time on the porch this year. With cheap beer and the wife.
