Even Steven

We had the pleasure of finding out that the daughter had enrolled in several classes for the summer session without telling us. While it is good to see that your offspring is willing to study during the summer instead of being a student bum, it was a ball buster to find that we needed to come up with over $2300 in two weeks to pay for the courses. I stressed a little because the cash I had been saving was originally going to be spent on the new carpet I had been coveting for months and months. I had resolved to forgo my desire of wall to wall clean new carpet and send the money to her. After all, it was the childs education, right?

Guess what comes in the mail a week later? I switched home owners insurance at the end of last year (the carrier I had for over 19 years kept raising the premium). Plus our taxes were lowered by a very small amount. This resulted in a rebate check from the escrow account for over $2000. Problem solved.

It all balances out in the end.

Then you die and the kids get your stuff anyway.
