Beat So Lonely
An update from the hot South.
The daughter and her friend made it back from Miami around midnight last night. I still have not seen her as they went straight to the friends house to crash. The in-laws are currently in her room. The MIL is doing well after the surgery. She will be back in three weeks for the second part of the procedure.
I have a giant brisket in the freezer that I need to pull out today and let it defrost for a few days in the fridge so it can go on the pit for memorial Day. (God Bless the fallen warriors of the USA)
Other than feeling a little beat during the afternoons, I feel good. The stress level is down, a three day weekend is here, the kids are accounted for, and summer is here.
Saturday I think we will be seeing Charlie Sexton at a free concert nearby. If you have never heard of him, look him up. You will be glad you did.
